...Avon's local contest for a "national scholarship program that inspires high school girls to develop their full, individual potential
through a fun, transformative experience that culminates in a celebratory showcase of their accomplishments."
This year we were happy to sponsor Kiersten Harris, who won a Self Expression Scholarship,
and also to make a donation toward the Scholastics 2nd Runner-Up Scholarship, which was won by Elizabeth Burnett. We wish both of them,
and all the contestants, the very best in their future endeavors.
A huge Thank You also goes to the Avon Junior Miss contestants, who worked in two shifts at the Fish Fry.
